Proceedings of the Lebanese International Conference on Mathematics and Applications (LICMA'15)
Foreword
In May 2015, around hundred mathematicians from different parts of the world gathered for four days in Beirut, Lebanon, to attend an international conference on Mathematics and Applications. The conference took place in the Department of Mathematics, Lebanese University for the period May 26-29, 2015 and discussed various topics.. A total of talks were presented by 35 speakers in the following areas
1. Graph Theory and Applications
2. Partial Differential Equations and Numerical Analysis
3. Differential Geometry and Applications
4. Financial Mathematics and Statistics
5. Control Theory
In addition to the scientific side, there were many other social activities and a touristic tour.
The papers in these conference proceedings consists of a selected and peer-refereed numbers of these presented talks.
We take this opportunity to thank all the authors who took the extra time and effort to provide their talks in a form suitable for electronic publication. We also thank the sponsors: UL, CNRS, AUF, Murex, SGBL, IF for supporting LICMA'15 event.
Special thanks go to Prof. Ayman Badawi for accepting to publish the proceedings as a special issue in the Palestinian Journal of mathematics.
